Mauro, who is 51, often can be seen cooking in the open kitchen, talking with diners or dishing out portions of tiramisu for customers celebrating birthdays. Her dream is to expand the tiny restaurant. In the meantime, she is concentrating on the cooking, one dish at a time. "I like people and all my customers are my friends and I like them enjoying what I make. I like everything about cooking."
